What would one expect as far as traffic to Mobile if I need to be at Infirmary at 9:00? I am from Atlanta so I understand traffic, but when would I have to leave in order to make a 9:00 appt?

I would plan on an hour and 15 from Point Clear to the Infirmary. I would rather the Battle House and live music down the street. Sitting in a car sucks.

Yeah, I was hoping more for 45 mins or so. I think staying in town would make me a happier person during work.

Yep. Pt. Clear/Fairhope is the nicest area in the Mobile region but for a quick hitter trip for medical I would keep it simple. Look up Callaghans's' Soul Kitchen and Moe's BBQ for their music schedules. I also second The Bull for a dinner. There is a nice breakfast place with a outdoor courtyard on Dauphin St. too-the name escapes me.

There aren't any hotels on Dauphin Island which is the only beach 30 min away.
Grand Hotel is 30 min away too.
