Extremely old and thin filigree.
Can anyone make a recommendation?

Must have been one heck of a domestic dispute if she broke her ring in the process.

I'm guessing she broke it with her cheek bone.

Gifting a ring you purchased off of Craigslist, huh?

She was climbing out of the rooftop tent and the band caught on the ladder somehow.

Actually it was my great great grandmother's engagement ring. Since it has a 52 year and 64 year marriage under it's belt... It meant slightly more than the champagne diamonds you baws are buying.

Came here to post that. Sandy's a great guy. Hooked me up with the diamond for my SO's engagement ring and found a set of wedding bands that matched the setting (which was bought elsewhere) perfectly.

Thank you.
Appreciate the help.
Hopefully he can correct the bend without messing it up.

Good luck. Repairing diamond rings with lots of filigree is an increadibly difficult process. You have to heat the metal to bend it and repair it, but if you heat it too much, you can crack the diamond. The filigree work is also extremely delicate. I would highly advise you just let him do it. He's a pro, but if you really want another quote, go talk to the guy with the custom jewelry shop next to Monjunis or Jack Barker's (I think) next to Cortana on Florida.

Try Anton's on Coursey. Everything they do is quality...I would hope they could get under the $1000 you were quoted at Patton's
