Trying to get a bottle of Blantons in the Houston/Katy area. So far everyone has told me it’s hard to find. Any thoughts?

Good luck, you have to hit it as it's going on the shelf. I don't know why it's so hard to come by anymore. I have a mom and pop liquor store I buy quite a bit from, so when she gets a few bottles, she will hold one back for me when I come in the next time. Spec's won't do that for anyone. Try that M-O, and see how it works for you. Blanton's is really just an average bourbon though, have you tried the 1920 From Old Forester? it's quite good.

It’s a gift for a friend. Loves Blantons.

Have you tried Total Wine?
Specs downtown will certainly have it.
I swear that Specs on 1093 had a few bottles last week.

Might want to ask at the counter. Some places hold them back or don't place them on the shelf. Blantons is great. Good gift.

I never see it on the shelf at Specs or other stores I frequent. I don't try too hard looking though. Too many other good bourbons.

Haven't seen Blanton's at any of the Spec's or Richard;s I frequent (Downtown, West U, Montrose, River Oaks) in almost a year.
In fact...any time I see EH Taylor, Eagle Rare, or any other "hard to find" I buy whatever they have on the shelf, as it probably will be another 4-5 months before it surfaces again.

I do not want to live in a world where Blanton’s is hard to find.
Slightly off topic for your question, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how many stores and restaurants carry Blanton’s in Colorado Springs and Denver. It’s all over the place.

No it isn't. I've been laughed at when asking if they've had it.
