I don't want to get it until after Thanksgiving because I'm not a freak but I just moved here so it'll be my first in Louisiana so I want to be prepared. I'd like to get a real tree, are there any good farms around the New Orleans area that anyone would recommend? Not interested in a fake tree. My dad conveniently acquired a mold allergy that only appears around Christmas time that would come from Christmas trees so we magically stopped going out every year and cutting one down as a family. Any help would be great, thanks.

I tried home Depot one year and turned out to be the best tree I've ever gotten. Haven't had a bad one from them since. I'm not sure which farm they get them from but I will continue to buy mine from home Depot until I get a bad one.

I went to the Home Depot on Claiborne for a few years. Always got a great tree.

Whole Foods was shite. I paid for a tree and had to get a refund because their selection was weak.

Home Depot. Get a Frasier Fir or Noble Fir which last long, smell great and don't scratch. Buy a heavy duty stand.

Best tree stand is Krinner's. Don't have to fight trying to get tree straight just stand it in the stand and push the pedal until it grabs the trunk.
