It's the time of year when this stuff is sold. People being stuck in their homes are wanting to spend more time outside and probably deciding to buy a new set / replace an old one.

We bought one back in mid-March from Home Depot. It was a table and six chairs. I like it so much that I went back to buy the four piece "conversation set" that is part of the same pattern/package. Totally sold out. In fact, for a while now, everything in that pattern/package is sold out.

You have to put it together, but it's all straightforward and idiot proof. I bought a new sectional couch, 2 night stands, and a dresser. All good quality and look great.

That’s what I’m looking for...or a dining set.

Did some more digging and called a couple stores. They told me that everything is backed up because most of it comes from overseas (China) and they don’t expect much more any time soon.

Tried to buy a display set and the manager at said store, probably with an IQ no more than 20, said “WeLl, I CaNT sALe mUH diSpluH!” Even after offering full price for it.

Some techs trying to assemble equipment for a center told me that if one place that say makes screws for an item is/was shut down, it stops production of said items, so that could be part of the problem.

Solid long term planning.

I hope you don’t hire them back.
