The Rocky’s are great. I used to go camping at Lake George. I’d just load up the truck and head out there and pull off on a trail. I highly recommend.

It's hard to beat the San Juans.

Highly recommend flying in to Durango, rather than Montrose, and renting a car to drive to Telluride. You'll be absolutely blown away, especially in spring or fall.

Sitting on a sea Kayak just off the Na Pali coastline of Kaui. Easing my way around to end up at Polihale beach to watch the sun go down over the water. I have done it maybe 30 times and when the ocean is up it is a workout when it is calm it is transcendental.

Oh we used to go visit kin in boulder every couple years growing up. That’s when I fell in love with them.

I think the last time i’ve Been was a decade ago though. Been so busy with life and work in that period, so much happened. Marriage, kids, divorce, death, career changes...

Finally feels like i’m Making forward progress again. At the very least i’ll Go to the smokies within the next 5 years.

Something about the mountains makes you appreciate the majesty of it all.

Planning a trip in July. First time ever having a boat able to get there safely. Sucia Island is top of the list. There's great fishing nearby I've read.

Can't wait.

I was talking about the San Juan Mountains in CO, but the San Juan Island are awesome, too. I worked on Orcas Island for about a half year a decade ago.

I go visit the ice caves under the Mendenhall Glacier in winter. Takes away your sense of space and time, really triply

Probably a trip to Patagonia or Lake Baikal. Would love to go to either. Maybe visit the Balkans again.

Places I’ve been?

Great Basin, Nevada. Standing in Wheeler Peak in the dark star gazing...phenomenal.

Grand Tetons

Mount Rainier at basecamp and going up in the moonlight was amazing.

Places I want to see? Iceland or Greenland.
Patagonia
