My son took it to school for show and tell and lost it.

In a box. Maybe I should wear it and put on my old letterman jacket. I still have some old clothes from high school. Maybe do one of those two pictures side by side of then and now. You know, so I can feel old.

How is it going Revelator?

Safe deposit box, along with college ID cards and other such stuff.
I found one in the lettuce bin of a grocery store. Figured it was an employee’s, but the manager did not know anyone with the initials on the ring. Left it in lost and found (it looked like a cheapie) and called the high school (Captain Shreveport) to see whose it might be.
The principal said she could not possibly imagine how they might know that. I asked her if they had a library. Yes. Is there a yearbook in it for class of 199_? Yes. Is there a kid in that book whose initials are YZ?
I think she was embarrassed I had to walk her through that because the bitch never called me back. I actually wrote the school a letter and told them how shitty they were for not giving a damn about one of their graduates,
in retrospect, I should have just snagged the ring from the lettuce bin and sold it at the nearest pawn shop.

Last time I saw it, it was on the finger of a big breasted chick from TN.

have no idea how it's made it through 2 moves (one that was over 4 states away) and me not giving 2 shits about it, but it's actually in my nightstand drawer. I don't even try to keep up with it and there it is, somehow the one hideous thing I don't even really care to have.
Can't tell you how many times I've seen it an wondered how I hadn't lost the damn thing and how much my parents were right when they warned me that I wouldn't care about it _____ years down the road.
That's a lot of words for something you don't care about. Sounds like it's becoming your precious...better throw it in the fire before it's too late.

They could make a forensic files episode given what they'd need to do to find it. Because I ain't got a clue.
