Did friends of animals on Highland for Christmas this past year. My kids are in their teens so it didn't have to be a surprise. They got to visit and spend time finding the dog they wanted. Couldn't be happier. Most loving dog ever. Just wants to give and get love and is super playful.

But this is good advice for anyone who is considering to do something similar. I am not going to get a dog if I wasn't sure it wouldn't be well taken care of, but some people make the mistake and give a dog to someone who isn't responsible. It's how I got my 2nd dog.
**NOTE: I am bumping this because I was looking at some responses since I recently remembered I didn't see some of them yesterday.
