Big difference in religions and cults is what happens when you try to leave.

Scientology was actually founded on money Hubbard embezzled from noted Satanist, father of American rocketry, and Howard Hughes doppelganger Jack Parsons. A good used yacht flipping scam gets those dirty Satanists every time.I

Strange but true. So much of what their "religion" is founded on is so crazy it's almost unfathomable they get people to not only believe it, but to pay hundreds of thousands if not millions to support it. And their stance on psychiatry and drugs is fricking dangerous, along with their use front groups (Narconon) to push is is sick.

Most people in BR don’t realize there is a Scientology church on Airline hwy across from All Star Bowling lanes.

Speaking of, I'd love to have the time to go park across the street and be obvious about filming the place to see if anyone comes out and questions it.

The sneaky part is - they don't reveal that at first. Most of what you get early on is auditing and TR drills - the stuff from the "religion" that is the most useful in the real world. The more they draw you in, the more the reveal the crazy stuff. Then, you're too far gone in most cases to back out - or at least back out easily. Family and friends within the church will disconnect if you do.

But, have no fear - as Marc Headley says - there are more former Scientologists now than there are current Scientologists. There are more former Sea Org members now than there are current Sea Org members. Signs of an organization that is surely dying.

If there is anyone who could sink the entire church with one media interview, it is her.

The Scientologist are as deluded as Hillary voters, no interview with anyone, or any facts will change their world view.

You can walk down a public sidewalk in Clearwater outside the Scientology building and if you pull out your phone, security will come out and harass you.

Or trump voters too, dude. It's just anyone that is over the top with their beliefs. World is full of them.

Joe Rogan said a cult is a guy who makes up some crazy story and gets people to believe in it

In a religion, that guy’s dead

I’m a Catholic, but I don’t care who you are, that’s pretty funny

If you were around Jerusalem in 33 AD, Jesus and his followers would have seemed like a bunch of weirdos.

Good to know. If I ever happen to find myself there, I will make it a point to do just that.
