You think it was a cop that killed her?

Lol, he says, after the entire discussion started that way. That phenoma i mentioned predates body cams, so crediting body cams doesn't seem very likely as a leading underlying cause.

I think it's a strong possibility.

Huh?

I understand that. Obviously police have a little more gusto in pursuing the killer of a LEO than they would any other person. It's the same reason why people have been so up in arms about the Rice murder. No one fricking cares about all the other unsolved murders, but they care about this one because "that could've been my daughter, niece, etc."

There's really no quantifying this at all, but if you don't think body worn cameras play a large role in the fact that most LEO murders are solved, I don't know what to tell you. 80% of PDs in the country require body cams, and the other 20% are the low budget podunk departments that get no action anyway. Do you even Occam's Razor bro?

Agreed. Geofence data from the exact time and location might be the key. Google and the phone companies have the data, just takes the right people asking the right questions

FBI is still arresting people that were outside the capital. They have the technology, but it’s not on the agenda b/c it’s likely a minority that killed her, so bad press is not going to be a priority.

So a cop just murdered a young girl in cold blood for no reason at all?

Seems like a bit of a stretch.

Why "no reason"? Maybe he had the hots for her and she rejected him. Maybe it wasn't a cop at all, and everyone is clamping down on information for some other reason. It's all speculation here.

Come on man, you know exactly the point I'm trying to convey. Let me rephrase:

Almost all people who encounter police are recorded on a body worn camera. Accurate, bona fide fact. Satisfied?

Victim shaming Nice The problem isnt guns in cars. Its TPOS stealing them

“Victim shaming”?

There were guys on the Outdoor board at the time of the shooting discussing what pistol they should buy because they had theirs stolen from an unlocked glove compartment in an unlocked vehicle.

Idiots like that SHOULD be shamed. Last stat I saw showed more guns were stolen from vehicles than homes.

If that pistol was indeed stolen from a vehicle, then it’s clear if the owner had secured it better she’d still be alive.

How do you propose the police solve it? Seriously…WHAT action do you hope will solve this crime?

There were no witnesses (that we know of). A crime happened in a part of town that was empty. The crime happened and the suspect(s) left. It may have been a random murder and not specific to the victim. How do we solve this???

The ONLY hope is someone brags about doing the crime and then someone who hears it, has to rat.

I’m not a fan of local police, but I don’t see anything in this case that they can do.

Tell the BRPD Chief’s Office to get out of the way of the investigation. The incompetence of that office has directly hampered this investigation.

That TD rumor was posted just before a tight mayor election from a new account. I don't think it's legitimate info.

I believe the older rumor that the police know who did it. But the powers that be in NBR "took care of it" because it put too much heat on them.

You park a patrol car in front of every bar, drug corner, strip club, prostitution house, gambling/numbers house, everywhere any business that’s remotely illegal or possibly run by gangs etc…

You start going after every avenue of revenue for the people that run the streets.

You tell them the cars and cops will stay until a suspect is handed over with witnesses, the gun, phones etc…

Within days you have your guy.

My guess tho, is the guys already dead. Nobody wants to be around complete psychopaths. That’s maybe wishful thinking tho.

Who knows

I still don't think that is accurate, but I'm not gonna argue anymore.
