Yeah you couldn’t find a copy anywhere, allegedly the agency pretty much bought all the copies and made sure it wasn't republished.

I thought about pulling the trigger at 250 dollars but then backed off as someone put a bunch of it online for free for a while.

If you look at the address on the listing, you can clearly see a long, narrow cleared area that could've easily been a landing strip.

I had a flight come in on the shoreline to Pensacola last year from Orlando probably due to some military exercise offshore. I couldn’t believe the number of existing and old runways right off the coast, there were 100s of them.

$180 grand for over an acre, waterfront, and a good looking party house seems like a good price for a camp, weekend getaway, family reunion secondary place

Some of them are I am sure, the rest are supposedly agricultural related. But if I wanted to fly a plane in at night in the 70s or 80s it would have been easy as pie.

Holy shite, I grew up with some kids who were neighbors of Ben Seale. I had no idea he was Barry Seale's brother.

Saw the movie back in high school on HBO, and was fascinated with the backstory. Been through Mena numerous times going fishing in AR/OK. I always chuckle and think man, if these hills/mountains could talk!

Interesting stuff right here - Roger Reaves. Has a section on Barry too.

Ludicrous statement .

Go stream Born on the Fourth of July and Magnolia, then come holler back at me.. not to mention Rain Man where his performance was far more subtle and difficult than Hoffman who chewed the scenery .

That is the one of the old runways he used. The camp was not there, and they had a wide path to the river where they loaded the boat up. It is a touch over 1000' to the river.

No. Asian Imports on Stanford - next to Studio Arms apartments at the LSU lakes was his front.

This.

Was a pretty well known local landmark for this reason till they finally tore it down.

His sons Aaron and Dean Seal, Christina and there Mom moved to the Dirty Dell and lived in Lake Village from his 9th grade year. Dean and Chistina still live in slidell.
Pretty good friends with the family back then. Still keep in touch every so often with Dean
