I've just always been drawn to the big city. The bigger the better. I like having multiple options for entertainment. BR was just always a pretender to me. Got tired of knowing everyone. When you go back everyone's still doing the same thing they were before. They don't know that there's a whole world outside of BR.

I moved away from my hometown for college and never moved back. I probably never will, but I had a good childhood and lots of greats memories. Many of my friends and most of my family still live there. It is not for me, but it is a good place to raise a family.

Nope, I loved growing up in BR. Only thing I maybe wish I could've lived closer to where I went to high school, but growing up in Shenandoah in the 90s was great.

i understand all that as an adult...i am just wondering how much different a childhood is in NYC compared to BR. I personally couldn't imagine being surrounded by concrete, cars, and people.

I grew up in Denham Springs and wouldn't have traded any other place in the world for it. Holy frick I miss that place.

My hometown did me lots of good. But I would have liked to lived in Chicago...dodging bullets and 100 loss baseball season.

I did. Not a bad place back then, but it sure is turning into a ghetto now.

Like growing up, building a career or business and raising a family?

I travel freely and have been all over the country and quite a few other countries. I see the appeal for a big city and when I want to spend time in one I do. When I get tired of that I come home. Then I go somewhere else. I'm well aware, as are most people, that there are other places in the world.
