Where do veterans rank on bad driver lists?

If you see a veteran license plate there is a 90% chance they are driving 10 miles under the speed limit
I guess its possible the veteran's wife is driving in which case we'd have a case of stolen valor.

If it's one of those purple heart tags they can drive up the wrong side of the road and I won't bitch.

Applebees literally has Veteran only parking spaces
Just because someone was in the military doesn't mean they saw any combat at all. Joining the Navy or the Airforce would be a pretty good way to see the world I think. A friend of mine from college was in the Navy for about 5 years. Literally all he did was clean airplanes, and he has been to Dubai twice.

PTSD will make you change how you drive. When I first started evaluating Vets for PTSD I noticed I was paying more attention to random crap or vehicles on the side of roads too. Of course, I could stop when I realized what I was doing. For those who got hit by IEDs or lost friends to them, it is different.

They were ready and willing. Were you?

I think that's a common misconception. There are plenty of noncombat roles in the military.

All my vet buddies drive like they have a death wish. I'm white-knuckled, grabbing the "oh shite" bar, and they're screaming at you, "Dude, this is nothing! Try driving through Iraq in a humvee at 65 MPH. Bolts and car parts are falling off every mile and it's shaking so damn bad that your a-hole fell off 5 miles back!" as they weave through traffic going 105 in their Tacoma.
One of my friends who is an officer literally had to spend a day talking to his soldiers and giving them a presentation about vehicle safety because so many were killing themselves on their motorcycles at high speeds.

Your friend lied to you.

I'm not sure if you're laying out some bait for us or if you swallowed your friend's hook.

Good Lord, dude. Lighten up a bit. He didn't say anything that was wrong because most AF and Navy jobs are not directly combat oriented. Yes, anyone in those services can see combat, and the jobs can be dangerous. Sorry for the loss of your friend (and if you are just trolling, sorry for the loss of all those lost anyway).
