I grabbed the bottom of this and scraped with the top of the book until I could see. You have to hit it pretty hard but once I got mad enough and slammed the hell out of it, the thing worked wonders and since they deliver a new one every two weeks, I should be good for the next 20 years.

Yeah, I tried hot water about 15 years ago. It didn't really turn out that good.

Don't hot defrost your windows either. Could crack your windshield.
Go get some de icer from wal Mart or pep boys. Works wonders.

Yea, hot water on cold windshield is how I make a living.

Tshirts work too. I made my wife cover her windshield when she got to work. Her coworkers made fun of her until they tried to go home. Some of her coworkers were frozen out of their cars and once they got in had to stay until car warmed enough to see out of. My wife left morethan an hour before her coworkers.
