We used to jump off my second story roof, onto a trampoline into my pool.
Until my neighbor broke his arm when he went the other way instead of the pool.

When I was 15 there were some of us over and a friends house. At about 1:00 in the morning we thought it would be cool to move the trampoline between the house and the inground pool and jump from the roof, to the trampoline, to the pool.

Damn good time until his mom woke up and wanted to kill us all.

The point is... the 1st time you tried it, how long did it take you to work up the courage?

I jumped when I was around 12. My dad was a dumb arse and would set up a ladder for me to play on the roof starting around 10.

I think I was in 5th grade when I jumped off the roof onto the front lawn. Didn't hurt anything, but when you weigh 70 lbs (or whatever a 5th grader weighs) it's a lot easier on your body. I think I did it two or three times. I always had a knack (when I was young) for landing softly from various jumps and falls.

Anybody play war with pine cones? Two or three on the roof and the same on the ground. We had pine trees, mature pine trees around my house and a few times a year do this. The hard green ones were ballistic. Good times.
