Fleur De Lis pizza. The waitress didn't believe me either because it was an out of state ID, it was a lot of work for one of those little Bud Lights.

1992-1993. Circle K's didn't sell to 18 yr olds despite our drinking age.

That must've sucked.
The Circle K on Perkins/College was my goto beer hookup at 18 when working at the Fast Track next door.

They wouldn't sell me a prono mag tho...

It was a Sunday, so I drove across the river to Port Allen and bought at a gas station. Think it was a bottle of Crown.

I got to experience it twice.

I was legal at 18 for about 3 months, then the age was raised to 21.

You weren't grandfathered in? My brother turned 18 the year (1980) Florida raised the legal drinking age to 19 but he was allowed to drink legally because turned 18 before the law went into affect.

I was 17 when I bought my first legal beer. Back in the day if you were active duty military , you could buy at the PX. I joined the Army at 17 and went to basic training the summer before my senior year of high school. Made many beer runs down to Little Rock.

I was a 18 as well.

Legal? No clue

Unlegal my first beer was a Schlitz in the at the time new bon Marche parking lot in front of Montgomery wards. I was 7, people drive around and drank beer in their cars. I drank one of those.

Pure evil here

I was travelling, and due to circumstances beyond my control I spent my 21st in some bar in Salt Lake City, trying desperately to get drunk on 3.2 beer...

By the time I turned 18 and could "legally" drink, I had already been buying beer almost any place I wanted to, so I really can't remember to be honest. That was back in 1970.

I remember being just a little kid getting run on errands to the store to buy beer and cigarettes for my dad and some of my uncles and nobody gave a damn back then.
