I think of:

Great 4 seasons
Big Ten football
Great education
Better paying jobs
Non-bigoted opinions
Hard working
Michigan cherries
Great breweries and wine
Good Polish, Czech, German foods

Boston is the shite. Lol at all these dumb rednecks

I really enjoy living here. It's a big city, but not overwhelming. Plenty of things to do, but, there is still a distinct neighborhood feel. Great public transportation, very walkable, tons of history, great beer, amazing food (despite what people say, there are some outstanding restaurants in Boston), etc.

But as I said, it's not like I'm offended if someone feels differently. To each their own.

I think rural PA fits the sterotypes northerner's have about the deep south more than the actual deep south does.

Much of the area between Pittsburgh and Philly is essentially an ocean of rebel flags, lifted trucks, prescription (and illicit) drug abuse, and structural unemployment.

I love Boston but that accent is like nails on a chalkboard to me. How long did it take to get used to it?

Eastern and Central Pennsylvania is definitely filled with trash. That said, just go visit a Wal-Mart in the Southern states.

It really is brutal.

Still not completely used to it, every now and then I'll hear a new word in the Boston accent and it will throw me off. Good example: I was at a restaurant for Cinco de Mayo and the waitress asked if I wanted a "mah-gah-rita". Took everything in me to not laugh.

It is pretty. But too liberal, anti gun, over policed, over taxed, congested, expensive.
The overall SJW attitude helped foster 9/11 hi-jackings and the Marathon Bombing.
I hate Boston almost as much as Chicago.
Now that being said we have some shite holes in the South for sure.

The majority of the US is filled with trashy people. I actually think that some of the Midwest (Nebraska, Dakotas, Iowa, Kansas), Rocky Mountain states and some of the West has the fewest.

100% accurate. And have you ever been to NH? It's white trash central in that state.

New Hampshire? Really? I thought it would be a lot like Vermont. More granola than anything.

Love or hate Boston, that's entirely up to you and I respect that you have a difference of opinion.

2 of 9/11 flights originated in Boston. The bombing was done by Boston residents.

Yes I'm well aware of that, but that doesn't make your initial statement make any more sense.

I've lived in Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, and Louisiana. I think rural PA might be worse. I love Pittsburgh and some of the nicer suburbs here, but venture too far out of town (or into the entire Philly metro) and the people are just awful.

That said....the fall colors and terrain are beautiful. There's no shortage of outdoor activities, and the local airports actually have very good service. Pittsburgh is truly an awesome town except for the food.
