This is literally why I never scroll TD anywhere I could be seen. I just assume most people are posters/lurkers.

Edit: I post enough irl stuff here that I had a couple of coworkers a few years back casually drop madam into a conversation. I did not acknowledge it at all.

Usually that or I tell them I've read better threads walking across the quad on a tuesday.

Same. I’ve had a couple people figure out who I am, which isn’t surprising since I’m not inconspicuous. I think it’s amusing, and like confirmation that other people post here (since I already assume everyone I encounter posts/lurks).

There was a bunch of TD posters that are regulars on the OB that attended a benefit auction for a fellow OB poster that passed away several years back in Monroe. Although I am from Monroe, I did not know the guy except through his posts on the OB but I could tell he was a class act and when this event got circulating on the OB, I went. Even donated a hunt. It was cool. His widow mentioned his internet buddies when she spoke and we all took an OB picture together.

Rest In Peace EJW.

Yep, I was there, we raised well over $100k that night. I have met will over 100 posters over the years, most act the same in real life, but many times they don't look how you had pictured them in your mind...

My girlfriend saw TD pulled up on my desktop and she said, "oh, Tigerdroppings! I've heard of that!"

I almost pissed my pants.

She is apolitical. A welcome change from the previous GF who was a very, very intelligent but also very typical over-educated liberal.

The doctors that my ex worked for were all posters on here. I used to know there user names but I’ve forgotten them over the years.

I know they are all season ticket holders for football. In the club suites on the west side. I actually got to go to a couple games when they couldn’t.

My ex used to get so pissed when she'd catch me on TD when she was around. Did she really expect me to be paying attention to "Separated at Birth" or her 15th story of the day about how Brenda at work is soooooooooo awful?
