It will be remembered as perhaps the greatest socioeconomic disruption on a global scale in human history

Whether or not the actual virus warranted such a disruption is a matter of debate I suppose.

I hope this will be the event that wakes the world up and allows them to tell China to go frick themselves.

I think this will show future generations just how much strength and muscle government can portray. And it will teach them to call their BS. I think it will be a learning lesson.

Government plus sensational news media = tyrant.

I think the fibers of this great experiment known as the United States of America will oddly look more like a confederation sooner or later. Too much disparities among the 50. For instance, what is Alaska doing? Why should they have to follow that Louisiana or New York does? I think we have hit our high note as a democracy and what we were meant to be. 9/11 just sort of started a norm of crazy and unparalleled events. We have not been the same since.

It's the biggest event since WWII.

Largest, most irrational, most unnecessarily costly, blunder in World History.

The same way we think about other viruses in history.

Future people will say "man, those months probably sucked cock" and they would be correct in that assessment.

Same way as we view the Lusitania/Zimmerman note and Pearl Harbor.

I don't think history will be kind to this Coronavirus response as a whole....maybe started a little late with measure to mitigate it but when you did start you went way to far. You killed a bunch of healthy Peter's to save an 80 yr old obese diabetic in a nursing home.

Yeah, you really can't have it both ways.

If you honestly believe that all the hoopla over this was warranted, you can't just say "Well, everybody makes mistakes!" and run right back into bed with China.

Especially since those frickers have plenty of other bugs crawling around over there ready to be thrown upon the rest of the world.
