September 24th when my son was born. I never thought I'd be the kind of person to tear up for something like that. Wasn't really emotional throughout the whole process, but when I heard him cry for the first time, I teared up. Not really crying, but it caught me by surprise.

I honestly can't remember the last time I cried. Alone or in front of someone else. Maybe there is something wrong with me?

just wired that way, I suppose. In the same way your friends are wired to cry over small stuff. Different ways of showing emotion is all.

On the plane last Tuesday watching "The Fault In Our Stars" or whatever it's called. Most tear-jerking movie ever made. I cried for like 45 minutes straight - the indian dude next to me with the special Indian smelling breakfast wrap must have thought I was a huge pussy

If you don't get emotionally moved by that story you are a soulless human.

While I don't remember the exact time/location, I disagree with your opinion on crying.

Google Jim Valvano's "never give up". I'd do it,
But my wife is here, and I'd cry if i watched it.

Anyway, per ol'Jim, having your emotions
moved to tears every day is one component of a rich life. While I realize he's was a basketball coach, and not a doc or counselor, I'd tend to say he was more right than wrong.

There's a movie on Netflix right now, called One Day,

HOLY CRAP.

I cried like a baby at the end of it.

I am not big on The Fault in Our Stars because of the book, but I imagine I'd cry if I wanted it too. I tend to avoid dying/sick type of movies. I hated Grey's Anatomy, for example. I LOOOOOOOVE crying over love stories (I know it's a love story too).

Doing really well :) Keeping on with Jones. Little less than a year before he's free and we can settle in better

Not even close to the first time I have been accused of not being empathetic. Public displays of emotion of any kind irritate me, actually, whether it be yelling in anger, crying, screaming in fear, etc. I think someone else nailed it by saying I can't handle emotion. Life is much simpler in my view when the highs are never too high and the lows never too low.

Awesome!! I'm really happy for you, glad to hear you are doing well and looking forward to the future!

It's cool to see some of the same people I liked so much still here.

Teared up but did not cry at my wedding in 2012, did not even tear up at my first child's birth in May of this year ( to be fair it took a few months for me to build a relationship with her), but when I had to take our dog to vet to put her down (18 yrs old in human years) I lost it! To sit there and see the life leave her just tore me up

That's not a bad way to live your own life but you can't really process the fact that other people aren't wired the same and may show emotion differently? I agree with your sentiment about yelling in anger in public, but you never know what a stranger on the street is going through and what might be behind the tears.

I don't get the judgmental attitude towards it.

I always cry at weddings but held it together at mine.

Not shocking, you built an 18 year relationship.

Last test/clen cycle.

Cried in front of a packed gym on a Saturday morning for no good reason. The I deadlifted until I ripped my calluses & bled something fierce. Then I just laughed.
