Hogan is full of shite here, in that same interview he also said that after slamming Andre he was never the same and died shortly after.

He wrestled several more years and died 5 years later.

Hogan has been very lucky that he got to have the last word in regards to a lot of Superstars that died not respecting him a whole lot.

Big Show/Giant had some great core strength to stay vertical there during the Jackhammer.

Kamala did slam him and it was one of the more impressive slams. I posted a video a couple pages back of various guys who have slammed him.

Also, please note that Andre was much heavier, over 500 lbs., when Hogan slammed him at WM3. I believe the only one to slam him at a similar weight was The Ultimate Warrior. Also, Andre had serious back problems which hunched his neck and spine in later years. That, coupled with him getting rid of his wild bushy hair that he'd had for many years, made him well under 7 feet when he faced Hogan, even though he was billed at 7'4".

There are two moments in wrestling history that stand out for me: Hogan defeating The Iron Sheik in 1984 to usher in Vince's national expansion and the Rock N'Wrestling era, and the formation of the nWo when Hogan joined. Hogan was part of the two biggest angles in wrestling history, and very well may be #1 on the all-time greats list, among guys like Lou Thesz and Jim Londos.

Andre pushed off a little, but he was so broken down by that point he could barely move.

Andre got slammed several times during the territory days before WWF's national expansion. Vince McMahon [sic] Sr. would tour Andre around to other territories because he was a huge draw.

The other promoters got a nice gate and McMahon got a cut. Andre would come in and do a program destroying the mid-card level guys in a battle royal, and then call out the promotions champion. Those matches would end in a count out , dq or time limit draw so Andre was still "unbeaten" and the champion didn't look weak.

If Andre liked the regional champion, and the guy was strong enough he got slammed.

Hogan slammed Andre in AWA and WWF shows before Hulkamania took off. Harley Race Slammed him. Stan Hansen slammed him, and several Japanese guys did too. Several other regional stars also slammed Andre.
