A gay dad would never take his kid to a baseball game.

A gay dad could never out-hustle other Phillies fans.

He’s clearly not gay. He probably grew up with nothing but sisters though. Poor guy appears to have spawned an unexpected son and is still stumbling his way through becoming a more complete man.

Oddly enough there’s most certainly multiple gay dads in the ballpark nightly.

But for the purpose of this gay isn’t literal although he might as well be.

Anyway, that lil shiver he made should be a meme idk how he has escaped massive scrutiny

You think his initial startled reaction is him trying to be funny?

You can tell an awful lot about her by watching her behavior in that video clip as well as clips filmed after the confrontation over the ball

I think they were both being a little silly if you ask me (it's just a baseball after all) and as such neither one really had a clear moral high ground IMO.

And I think the Dad realized that and that's why he gave the ball to her. In doing so he was then able to take the moral high ground, whereas if he had refused I think he would have been stuck in the mud with the Karen.

I think he did the right thing, chose to be a good example for his kids, and was rewarded for it.

No one was sitting where the ball landed. It landed in the empty seat in the entirely empty row in front of Karen, Someone was moving from their seat to the ball no matter what and this is normal for a MLB game.

I wish there was audio because I bet she was shrieking as she grabbed his arm.

As to the after, folks do not act like this once. Anyone willing to approach, grab and yell at a stranger has done similar before and deserves what she gets.

gay dad ran across a section for a baseball that was basically at the feet of this women. A little odd for the man to run across the section but no foul here, however it is context the story, as this changes it from a women snagging a ball out of a kids hands.

It was NOT at her feet. It landed in the empty row in front of Karen's, And this is NORMAL in a sparsely attended outfield bleacher at a MLB game.

That’s why the word ‘basically’ is included.

The ball was ‘basically’ at her feet in the sense she just needed to bend down directly in front of her to pick it up.

The man ran across to snag it.

No foul, but that’s what happened. An adult ran over to grab a ball that was easier for another adult to get who had less enthusiasm in that moment.

Not saying it isn’t normal for a scramble for a ball, what I’m saying is the headline readers and zeitgeist narrative is that a women stole a ball from a kid.

..the internet for ya.

The entire internet and society has fixated on this incident, putting all attention on the women.

My contribution, is the man should not escape critique for how startled he was. That should be a viral humiliation gif yet not even a small percentage of people are laughing at him.

Right.

All attention as it relates to who was wrong or right and the shame that goes with that should be against the women.

Attention in the genre of humor and humiliation should be put on this man for his shiver of fear as she approached.

You are displaying an intellectual leprosy here big time.
