The word maybe. But not the idea behind it.

Someone used the term toxic masculinity around me the other day...I asked for examples. So I asked about toxic femininity and if she could provide examples of that. I legit thought her head was going to explode.

So are leprechauns, eh Lester?

If you want to believe in micro-cheating, knock yourself out.

And have been going on for years. People have used Facebook and the like to cheat long before this guy labeled it micro cheating.

And can there really be such a thing as 'cheating but only a bit'?

No, cheating is cheating. Every couple just has to be clear on what they define as cheating.

I don't think taking your wedding ring off or going back and liking old Instagram photos is cheating (micro-cheating or whatever), but I do think it is inappropriate.

Microcheating is a thing

I consider it a non-physical, yet emotional, interaction that manages to not interrupt the primary relationship.

If the primary relationship is compromised, it becomes emotional infidelity.

Technology is basically the heroin needle that provides the avenue for emotional infidelity for the attention whore.

I don’t think its cheating and the buzzword is stupid, but my wife would be absolutely crushed if I took my ring off when I was out with friends around other women. I imagine a lot of wives would feel very hurt by that.

It’s fricked up and intentionally denying your marriage. It doesn’t need a fancy buzzword.

How long before a savvy attorney uses this as an excuse to rob a man of half his money?

Of course they would.

Taking your ring off because you are going to the gym or something, fine. Taking your ring off while out at a bar is not ok. I can't imagine anyone would think it is. I don't think my husband would be ok with me doing it either. It's definitely not cheating, but shows me that the person is open to it.

Which is essentially what the “micro cheating” term is supposed to mean.

Many times the ring makes it more attractive to women.
