Just curious of all previous poster's suffering lost senses, I have also heard that this has worked. I know that many have rebounded quickly with use of tobacco products. Have any of you tried this or are currently smoker's/ tobacco users?
I chew tobacco, so i wouldn't know... and never been officially diagnosed as Covid positive.

I didn’t try any of the tricks to regain my sense of smell or taste.
I was working Covid ICU all through the pandemic and it was a blessing to not be able to smell things at work.
Tube feeding poops are about the worst

lost smell for two years, it just returned this month. Mowed grass was the first thing I smelled. It was wonderful. I am allergic to it, but I did not care!

I only had it once but my taste and smell came back after three days. This was during Easter 2023 and still today some things taste extremely salty to me.

good friend of mine still can't drink any sodas (they smell like anti freeze now) and sandwhiches taste like the plastic bag the bread came in. He had covid back in early 2021.

I never lost my sense of smell or taste when I had Covid. Everything tasted horrible though. For a few weeks afterwards the only things that tasted ok were raw vegetables and fruit.

Taste came back after a few weeks. Smell took longer and was different for at least 6 months. Like things that I know the smell of smelled different. My deodorant and cologne. Wife's perfume. Foods like boiled eggs or sauteed onions. These familiar things suddenly smelled different. I'm not even sure if it went back to normal or if I have adjusted/reassociated

About 4-5 days. I did test tasting of bitter/sour tastes (vinegar, hot sauce, lemon etc) to try and ignite the taste buds back. Not sure if it was the cure but it came back.

My mom has either been unable to taste anything at all or has had a bad metallic taste when eating for a year and a half. Once in a great while she can taste almost normally. On those days she eats everything in sight because the next day everything may taste like tin foil. She has lost 25 pounds. It is quite miserable, especially since she cooks a lot and seasoning things properly is impossible.
Loss of taste and smell was the only way I knew for sure I had Covid rather than a cold. I lost them completely for about a week, then rebounded pretty fast.

I think its funny people downvote this. I understand being tired of hearing about COVID and I really don't think about it until I see it talked about on here.
Also, like earlier today I went with someone to their appointment at the baton rouge clinic. While they were at their appointment I was in the waiting room. This lady and her 3 kids walked in and all 3 had mask on. I don't care if people wear mask or not, but the ones they had on looked thicker than the average mask. It went about half way up their nose (the first thought that came to my mine was Bain from the dark knight rises), but there were no sides.
They had mouth and nose covered, but no sides.. I guess for air?
Anyway, my point is, its like people hate to hear other people say they have it because it doesn't support some crazy theory that if it never exist.

Never lost smell or taste, but it took a couple of months before I could get back to my regular running pace. I was just gassed

All I know is I’ve never seen anything else like Covid in all my years working bedside.

Like 6-8 months probably. Smell therapy/training was what got it back for me. You have to retrain yourself. I did the Moxe kit off Amazon.

My sense of smells is still not normal. Never affected by taste
This for me as well. I got Delta in July 2021 and ended up in ICU for a month and on a vent. Weird thing is taste never left. Smell was gone for almost a year but it is slowly coming back but some things are off and not normal.
