When did putting Venmo request on your vehicle become a thing?

While traveling yesterday we passed quite a few vehicles with paint marker writings/drawings all over the windows asking for donations. Everything from ball teams, cheer squads to simply vacation help.
The craziest to me was one of those fancy Mercedes sprinter type RV’s with “donate to our 50th anniversary trip! Here’s my Venmo!”
How embarrassing to ask for my money if you can afford a $100k plus RV!!

I always send those people Venmo payment requests when I see them.

I’m about 50/50 on them paying me vs ignoring the request.

I don’t know if they are better or worse than the girls who put their OnlyFans name on their vehicle.

Thanks Jerry, your observational humor never fails to entertain.

I don't know. I am sure it evolved from people putting their cashapp handle on their twitter profile as if people might just decide to send them money just because.

I've never seen one but could you do some research and find out the most effective way for people to send me money and get back with me? I'm Caucasian with man bewbs if that helps.
My Venmo is @manbewb3000

If you drive a mini van on a family vacation all you have to do is write your Venmo on the back with something like "Moms' beach trip! Buy our first round!"

Guarantee you'll make 100$ between BR and the florabama

They are likely similar to the numerous people I met in Las Vegas who aren't saving any of their enhanced unemployment/stimulus and have not paid rent in the last 15 months and instead are blowing it at the casino and clubs.

I actually saw one for the first time yesterday. Got behind one at a red light. Girl wanting help with her senior trip.

I don’t use Venmo or Cash App. Can you send messages? Can you ask for nudes?

I’ve seen the “buy the bride a drink” shite but not a vacation donation. That’s pathetic and trashy
