If you leave the basement, consequences will never be the same.

Drove by the LCCC on the way to a party for my son's team at a huge house on the lake. His team has Hondurans, Mexicans, brothas and white boys. Only time brown people have been in that pool for sure.

With that said, who wants to live in Kenner in 2014 though? Kenner has been on the declining worse than Metairie, plus you're further from the city. Lots of sketchy areas in Kenner now that weren't bad even 10 years ago.

Not me. We bought in OM

I was there 2 years ago for 5 days. I stayed at the Wyndam and Laburge*. Drove to the Sulphur baseball complex. It was a very pleasant 2 days. By the 3-4th day I wanted to hang myself.

I do say so. MCG is Old Metairie. Not all places in 70005 are Old Metairie.

7triple05 is where I grew up as well. Went to Metairie Ridge for pre-k. Did a stint at St. Catherine even.
There are certainly many good areas of Metairie still. Basically all of 70005, anything north of W.Esplanade practically all the way to Power(isn't that where Metairie becomes Kenner?) Many of my balkwe friends grew up in 70006 on Cleveland Pl on the lake, Chateau Dr, Hessmer, etc on the lake in 70002. A good friend of the family is a federal judge and lives near St.Angela.
