I’ve been to one and all the guys just got drunk outside while the ladies did their thing inside.

Men have diaper parties, which is an excuse to buy the same unimaginative gift and get blackout drunk together

So like I said, you must have miserable friends or you, yourself, are just miserable

Baby showers >> showering with your 14 yo daughter, so you've got that going for you.

People do couples baby showers now. It’s the gayest fricking thing.

I've gone to immediate family/ close friends baby showers.

Help the husband set up and then go out and "cook".

They were all an excuse to smoke a cigar and drink whiskey while the ladies do lady stuff.

None of this proves it isn't gay

Better than ‘brunch’. Nothing pisses me off more than feeling like I have to ruin a whole day for a 2 hour event at the most inconvenient time.

I mean this in a non-sarcastic way, but none of my friends ever wanted the guys there.

This is exactly how it was when I was a younger man. Women got together for baby showers or bridal showers and didn't really want men around-----it was an "All-Lady" party, and they preferred it that way.

I refuse to go to a baby shower for a clump of cells.

Is she bigger and stronger than you? If not, you are going of your own free will.

had one for my daughter yesterday. My plan was to hang out in the truck and listen to an audio book. Next thing I know all the husbands starting showing up because there was so much food left over. It was after all the gift opening and stuff though.

I’m well into my 50s and have been married for almost 30 years. Never in that time have I ever been invited to a baby shower. And I suspect if anyone suggested such a thing to my wife, she’d look at them as though they’ve lost their mind.

I would be miserable AF if I had to go to an event like that. Besides, let's be honest. Nobody cares if you go or not as long as you drop off a gift. It is all about getting folks to pony up. Same goes with bridal showers and weddings. Send a gift and you can avoid the event. Fwiw, I am a woman. It is not just the guys who don't enjoy stuff like that.

There are a lot of things I do for my wife, but being dragged to a baby shower isn't one of them. Heck, even she knows better.

This drives me crazy. WTF is a couples shower?
I refused... me and my bud went to the shooting range and had lunch.
I think women just wanna make us participate for the sake of it.

I’m not going to anything with shower in the name. This new phenomenon stems from women not being able to handle us men having a good time while they’re pretending to have fun at a baby shower, but are actually miserable because it’s a fricking baby shower. It’s our god-given right as testicular holders to avoid these.
