Bra. Where you been? I’m 45 but back in the day I straight pimped for jr high homecoming in a limo. Disregard the fact that there were 12 of us packed in there like sardines - we owned 7th AND 8th grade homecoming!

Some of us went to good Catholic schools where we didn't have the whole family come out to celebrate us getting a good 8th grade education.

I'm 30. I didn't have homecoming until high school.

We had a "sweetheart dance" when I was in 8th grade, which had a court like homecoming (I was on it, lol). But that's it.

South Texas - 7th and 8th grade we had homecoming dances, games, and mums

It was like a warm up for high school - which was a really big deal

Jr high? Here in New Orleans we had grammar school (k-7 if boy and k-8 if girl) and then high school if Catholic school.

Or lower school and upper school if private. Don't give a frick about public

If the school has a football team, Homecoming is a thing. How do you not know this?

Not many of the Catholic or private schools here were big enough to have football teams when I was coming up. So maybe that's it. Probably different in South Louisiana.

But I thought homecoming was usually tied to class reunions in high school? Who "comes home" to a junior high?

About the same time things like this become normalized and media like shown in the link cover it up as they do here.

There is a specific intention to corrupt by the same 'thing' that is currently stealing the election.

and some of us weren’t born into your fortunate situation. I, along with the 5 other guys who shared the limo, were broke arse kids that had to cut a LOT of grass to earn that money for the limo. And the fun we had was worth every ounce of sweat it took to earn it

Pretty sure the people in that picture aren't in junior high.
