When did CMT start to really change?

I remember years ago when it was strictly videos. It's absolutely horrible now. Nothing but hokey shows that promote trashy as frick people.

Not to open the New Country vs Old Country debate but I don't mind the new stuff. Just don't market it as country. It's more of a pop / upbeat mix. Frankly, I like listening to something upbeat while working that doesn't reference hoes, drugs and nixxas every other word. That being said, don't try to tell me it is country because it isn't.

that seems to be the natural progression for all music networks...they show videos for a few years and then start working towards the reality crap...
