We have this mattress (in queen) in our guest rooms and have been told they are very comfortable.

We bought a Zinus Mattress off of Amazon back before Christmas, and love it. We figured for less than $400 we could at least give it a shot.

I looked at this because of the reviews. And then I got scared off, because of the reviews. They almost seemed too good to be true.

Great deal for sure. I also ended up buying a $99 twin size mattress as well (she wanted a day bed - top layer holds a full size mattress and trundle holes twin size mattress).

Agreed.
I understand companies have to constantly reinvent and market themselves to create excitement and demand, but Casper seems to have become price aggressive with their new line of mattresses. What got them to the dance appears to no longer be good enough for them.

Maybe you can rotate them, but they have different comfort layers and there is a definite top and bottom.

I felt the same way at first. I checked it out on Fakespot (which obviously isn't foolproof but seems to do a decent job) and decided for the price it was worth the risk.

We have a Tuft and Needle, which has followed Casper up in price. It's not going to reinvent the wheel, but it's a nice mattress.

Also at $300 if it loses its shape/becomes uncomfortable I'll just throw it away and order another one and still be way ahead on price.
I also own one of the $300 Zinus king size with the gel and green tea. It is the first memory foam bed I have ever owned so I can't really compare it to anything.
All I can really say is I'm a side sleeper and my shoulders and hips never seem to hurt with it.
