There is a big difference between economic cycles and the rot America is experiencing from inside.

LBJs great society has killed what was once a great country.

When both parents were forced to work and leave child rearing up to daycares and other individuals who were not emotionally invested in their children’s well-being. The family unit broke at that point and from there, America began a secular transition which led to no morals, more murder/rape/crime in general.

It all leads back to finances. Mothers had a choice to make: stay home and live in poverty or get a job just to make ends meet. You do what you can for your family and most went to work. That’s when we turned our backs to Jesus.

Absolutely this. After the CIA/FBI murdered JFK (and Robert)
then, inserted the person J. Edgar Hoover forced JFK to choose as his vice president, Lyndon Baynes Johnson.

Once LBJ was inserted the degradation of American Society by the deep state began with "The civil rights act of 1964" (look up LBJs famous quote after signing the law) and the Vietnam War.

TRUMP 2024!

FDR started it but the 1964 immigration act was the nail in the coffin.

The day of 9/11. I remember feeling like a piece of me was gone. That was horrific because it happened on our soil. To be honest I really haven’t felt as safe since. I was never much of a flyer but I’ll never get into a plane again.

BUT this country is still by far the most powerful on this planet.. we could destroy any country we wanted without too much damage here. IMO we just don’t have the right people in power to run it correctly.

This makes me sad for you, but it’s not outside my grasp of reason, and that’s even sadder.

It’s amazing how rapidly America has declined since 9-11

Thats part of the problem. 911 ushered in an uber police state which is in part to blame for where we are.

So I’ve only been on this planet for 35 years, not that long compared to others who have seen a lot more and experienced perhaps better days that are now long gone. My question for the OT this evening is this: When did the United States of America begin its decline? My position is that WW2 era America was the peak, we were the greatest country in the world and we knew it. So when did we become a country that was no longer the greatest? When we became a country where inner cities crumbled, crime soared, drug addiction ruined many, our economy faltered, and inept leadership made things even worse?

When Americans literally spit on soldiers/military returning from Vietnam.

Not the soldiers fault but it was an utterly pointless/senseless/retarded war for the US to enter, as has been pretty much every conflict the US has been involved in since WW2

Classic Progressive response.

Another one of your heros went on a killing spree today. How is that going to be the fault of Fox News or whitey?

Viet nam being a pointless war isn’t really debatable. What did it accomplish other than death on both sides?

The decline began in the 60’s, but the cracks which made that decline possible have been present since the foundation of the nation.
