Putting the cat outside permanently worked for me.

One of ours does this, will pee in box but not poo, does it just outside. We have tried everything from new litter boxes, different types of litter, etc. Seems to have happened when we redid our floors from an old wool tile to laminate wood flooring. So now we just have to clean it up each day.

When cats don't use their litterbox, it usually means that they have issues. It could be the location (they want privacy), it may not be getting cleaned out enough etc...

We have been trying to get our cat to go outside forever. We've had it for three years. Finally he goes and is gone for weeks. And this is during the first snow this winter. I figure he got run over, or froze to death. Then one day he shows up like nothings wrong, except a little skinnier. Stays for several weeks, fattens up and off he goes again. Same thing, couple of weeks, and back he comes. He's neutered, so I know he not chasing the poon. Finally I figured it out. He's working offshore.

I tell mine how worthless she is every day and I show her a picture of her skinny arse when I found her and make sure she knows that she's a failure and without me, she'd still be on the street, probably pregnant and having litter after litter of worthless kittens.

Probably won’t work and is probably cruel. I learned that cats willl pee in places other than the litter box if they have a urinary tract infection. They do this because they associate the box with the pain of urinating. Is your litter box clean? Have you recently changed litter brand? Some cats paws are extremely sensitive to certain textures of litter. Is your cat declawed? Declawed cats have worse sensitivity to their paws. Hoping this problem is solved soon for you.

just lock the cat in the bathroom of your trailer with the small littler box for 2 days. That should retrain him.
