Love 2018 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. Good mileage 42 mph on low end. (2019's are even nicer and a couple of inches higher with better sound insulation)
We had Ford Explorers & Escapes for many years.

F-150 Super Crew w/5.0 Coyote V-8 (no turbo) and the 157" wheelbase. Longer wheelbase = smoother ride...interior has all of the room and luxury and technology of any vehicle. And it has a full size bed and can tow whatever needed.

Jeep wrangler or renegade. You need something with ground clearance, off road suspension, and 4 wheel drive to navigate New Orleans streets.
