For me it's often deceptively allergy related so getting in Claritin or something seems to help head it off.

Get yourself ebola ice cream or ebola soup.
Honestly I try to stay hydrated and take whatever over the counter that is available that can undermine and disrupt the sinus drip.

Yep, gargling with Dr. Tichenor's (as strong as you can stand) usually does the trick.
