I walked through the company cafeteria one afternoon and saw the Senior Engineer sitting with a Mountain Dew and a bag of skittles. Sat down to talk for a few minutes and found that he always sat down at 3 PM for a break. I decided to join him for a break. One afternoon he comments "I'm having a hard time sleeping at night and can't figure out why."
"Ever consider that you are drinking the one and only soda filled with caffeine and sugar, while downing a bag of pure sugar at the same time in the skittles? Try taking one out of your diet, you'll sleep better." He started sleeping much better. I introduced him to his wife about a year later.

I don’t drink Soda often. In fact I can count on one hand the number of sodas I’ve had in 2022. But when I do have soda is Coca—Cola with bourbon.
