Pee Wee football…. I chased the opposing teams running back out of bounds…..then weaved through cars all the way across the parking lot, circled around the nearest school building and despite 100 hollering parents, made a couple laps around the playground before I finally made the made the tackle.

7th grade CSAL basketball at OLOM. 3 seconds left and missed both free throws. We lost the game. Still haunts me to this day.

In HS. Playing golf with Dad and he informed me at the 18th tee that I'm -2 for the day. I proceeded to hit 2 tee shots OB, and carded a quadruple bogey.
Still shot 74, but it felt like I shot 120 walking off the 18th green.

In the sport of competitive bass fishing, all I had to do in the last tournament to win my fifth angler of the year was to just catch 1 12 inch fish..........................couldn't catch one to save my life. Major choke.

In position to make match play in the mid-am. Instead of just pitching out on a short par 4 and try and get up and down for par, tried a hero shot and made triple, then double on the next.
Missed match play by a shot, never got that close again.

Was a great pitcher in American Legion. We were playing Bossier City for State Championship. Played on Howell Park Baton Rouge squad. Probably 13 or 14. Came in last inning of a one run game. They had runners on first and third with one out. Struck out first batter. Now 2 outs. Coach called a 3rd to 1st pick off. Ump called a balk. Said I didn't step directly towards 3rd. Even though you could see footprint. 2 coaches got thrown out. Next batter hit a ground ball to third and third baseman airmailed it to right field. Ump almost didn't make it out of park

When I played tball my first ever at bat I had a solid hit and the kid who was running the bases for me ran to 3rd base and took the attention away from my solid hit.

Baton Rouge Amateur at Santa Maria. First round Beat one of the top 5 seeds. Second round I had a 4 hole lead with 6 to go. I totally melted. I only played maybe twice a month normally and then you are forced to play twice in one day and on top of that it was 95 degrees. My arms felt like jelly and I think I was on my way to heat exhaustion. It was brutal. Guy made a 20ft putt on 17 to tie and choked a 100 yard shot on 18 in the water. Lost to a bogey. Walked straight to my car and left

Got plastered at my wedding reception.
Took until the last day of honeymoon of her hating my guts to consummate the marriage.

JV basketball playing at our in town rival. 2nd half tip off comes straight to me, I run straight to the opposing teams basket for a wide open layup.. and missed. Which somehow made it worse
Coach made me physically point to our basket at the start of each half the rest of the year.

Does getting tossed from a Travel Ball Tournament count?

Missed a tackle in state quarterfinals. Running back scored on a 40 yard run. We lost by a touchdown.

Only pass I ever dropped during a game in my life. 9th grade, arch rivals, last play, perfect pass I dropped while wide open. lost 6-0. Coach waited till last play, if he'd done it earlier I'd had a second chance. Kids blamed me, but offensively I only touched the ball once, while the RBs and QB ran it 40 times. and couldn't do anything.

Playing our cross town rivals in baseball, 9th grade. We’re tied, they have the heart of their order up with no outs. Our pitcher is gassed and we have no one left. There’s a runner on third. We hold a players meeting at the mound and I have the idea to run the hidden ball trick. Everyone in the infield was on board. Granted, I have no idea about the actual rules of the hidden ball trick. We just slipped the ball to the third baseman in the huddle, pitcher gets on the mound, third baseman aggressively tags the runner when he takes his lead
We of course all celebrated like idiots, and the runner was awarded a base and we lost (ump initially called him out). I can laugh about it now because we were losing that game either way. Our coach went apeshit on us, but we were all pretty much in agreement that we were about to lose and didn’t see him coming up with any ideas.
