It's bizarre that anyone would want everyone to know where they are at all times.

It's bizarre that you think by having this app that means you are tracking everyone at all times just staring at the app all day.

Bingo

Based on his logic, he's have to argue the same that it would be psychotic if your kid told you he was going to little johnny's house then called you to tell you he was going to little ricky's house instead.

In other words, he's not making any sense.

You sound like if this happened to your kid, you'd tell your wife to go deal with it, you're too busy tinkering in the garage or some shite.

I don’t need an app to know or care where my kids are. Neither did my parents.
So how do you know where you kids are?

What if they're at one place but decide they want to go to another place kind of far away, how do you know where they are, or do you not care?

I don't unless they decide to tell me.

You're right man. Only parents who stalk their child's every move care about their kids. It's impossible that some of us have raised our children as best we could and let them go about life hopefully not being complete frickups and if they do happen to frickup, will learn from their mistakes.

All you're doing by tracking your children is raising a child in an adult's body with no sense of responsibility or independence.

I generally ask them.

Either they tell me or I guess I don’t. Oh well.

They’ll figure it out like the literal billions of kids before them.

If your 10 or 12 year old kid didn't come home, what steps would you take?

Kids that age shouldn't have a cell phone in the first case.

Probably the same ones all of the parents in that situation took prior to 2008. They did ok. I probably will too.

Also didn't answer the question right as I said "every single time"

I'll ask again...

This is crazy. I'm glad iPhones weren't much of anything when I was in HS. My HS arse would turn that phone off and drink beer and smoke all I want.

Well if they're 10 years old I'm probably calling the adult who's care I left them in. If they were riding their bike around the neighborhood I'd go look for them. If that didn't work I'd call the police.

What would you do?

I mean you want an actual list? Call around the neighborhood? Call their friends and their friend’s parents? Go to place they were supposed to be?

Kids came home late or maybe stayed over at a friend’s without asking a lot before the life360 app was invented. This isn’t new territory.

Sounds psychotic to have to track down names and phones numbers of the 15 or 20 places your kids could be at any given point in time.

I don't have the phone number of a single parent where my kids may go play. That's absurd, talk about helicopter parenting.

Shel wants to sit on the couch and drink her wine watching real housewives while she posts on FB and occasionally looking at life360 and call it parenting.

My son put it on my phone so I would stop asking where he was all the time.
