Good call on Dixie Blackened Voodoo, I had to pour that stuff out. Don't understand people saying Heineken, Corona, Miller lite etc. Those are just watered down beers, they don't necessarily have horrible taste.

Some dark beer with dark chocolate that my brother found at World Market. I stopped after one sip but he drank all of his and the rest of mine. Just because it has chocolate doesn't always make things better.
Do you like any chocolate beers?

I once bought a 6 pack of Covington Strawberry Ale back when they first started bottling it. I couldn't understand how a beer could be so good from the tap and so terrible from the bottle. Since then, I've tried it again and it was alright. They must have been really inconsistent when they first started.

I feel like some of you guys just need to drink a good, fresh IPA

I've tried a lot of different IPA at bars, tap rooms, etc. To me it's like the same barrier that bloody mary's give me...I just can't get over how I don't like the tomato juice in a bloody and I can't get over the hoppiness in an IPA.

When I was 18, which was 100 years ago (1990). I remember stopping at a Shell station mini-mart and saw they had this beer called Meister Brau- 3 for $1 in this huge cooler. We had never heard of it, and all we drank was cheap beer- mainly Beast and Natty Light, so we figured we'd each get 6 of em. I was able to make it to the third one before I gave up, which was further than either of my buddies got. I don't think I've ever seen it again- I wonder if it is still made.

I get you
they were hard for me at first too, but once you get a few world class IPAs, things change
I still don't like IPAs with that strong lingering bitterness

Sam Adams Triple Bock.
Sold for about $100 a case in 1996.
Tasted like soy sauce.
This was BEYOND awful.
Tasted like soy sauce and motor oil.

Used to like this beer but the last one I had was different. It had a phenolic taste to it as if their yeast mutated or something.
The worst beer I ever had was probably something I judged in a competition.

In Wales I had an African beer named "bernanrd" only thing worse than the name was the taste.

I like em, except that I'm really hops sensitive which is why I stick mostly to Whits, Hefs and the like.
I can pound wheat beer like there's no tomorrow, put several IPAs in me and I'll have a raging hangover for days.

Also, I'm surprised not to see Pearl here. Is it still in existence?
I personally can't stand the taste of Heineken, but I wouldn't use that to say it's 'bad'. I will say it about Dixie and Pearl, though because I hated them just that much more. I guess it takes all kinds.
Some time when we're having a Meechigan-Ahia State conversation, I'll tell a long and meandering story about Busch (also belongs on the list of worst beers) that no one else will care about but I still think was funny.
