I would say at least until he's going steady with a new woman. You want to be sure he's completely over the ex and they don't communicate anymore.

What about your brother’s ex? Who in turn was his best friend’s ex before he hit it?

I’m dating one of my best friends Ex girlfriend. I met her through him awhile back. They broke up 4 years ago. My friend doesn’t care because he’s been moved on from her and he has been dating a new girl for 3 years now. I felt like you did at one point and didn’t wanna violate the bro code, but it turned out to be no big deal. I knew she was crazy about me too. Literally days after I made my intentions clear, I asked her on a date and I got laid soon after. Basically what I’m saying is, stop being a fgt and go get some pussy.

Never, IMO. There's millions of women out there.

When in doubt I always consult Kipling.
The jackal may follow the tiger, but, cub, when thy whiskers are grown,
Remember the wolf is a hunter—go forth and get food of thy own.

No. And no.
Unless your buddy explicitly says it's okay without you having to ask.
Which he won't.
So don't.
a-hole.

Determining why she the "Ex" in the first place may prove useful.

If it’s your buddy the statute of limitations is in perpetuity (same if you are married). If it’s someone you know or hung out with a few times, well, “everybody gets what they get.”

ALL is fair in love and war.

Are we talking really good friend or just someone I used to hang out with a bit? I don't think I would for a really good friend. I've only had a few of those in my life so far.
Some guy that I used to hang out with some. Sorry bud

What if it was a guy you went to school with for 12 years but never hung out after HS. A childhood to teenage friend but not best buds or anything. Lived in same neighborhood and played backyard football etc ?
