Worked in a deli in Astoria, Queens as a teenager for a bunch of annoying foreigners.

Lifeguard at a country club. I got second degree sunburn, my boss was an a-hole, the only people there were little kids and MIWNLF. Highlight of the day was picking up soiled diapers around the kiddie pool.

I did a spray technician internship one summer during college.
It was the time of year every golf course was applying a certain nematicide to their greens. Said chemical has since been banned by the EPA because it's basically death.
Would have to wear a full tyvex suit and respirator in 100+ degree heat.
I applied this chemical at least 50 times that summer. I would lose between 5 and 10 pounds in 3 hours.
frick that noise.

Starting at age 15, working commercial flat roofing Summers and holidays, through senior year of high school (including that summer) and on through college to pay for it.
Back breaking grunt work, especially at first for the dumb arse white kid who didn't have the sense to ride his privilege.
Deadly hot in the summers and miserably cold in the winter. Always hard work.
Finally earned enough knowledge and cred to be trusted with crews and equipment.
My Dad was a great man for a lot of reasons, but getting me that job and seeing that I stuck with it was the single most influential thing he ever did for me.

I worked at Mardy Gras bead store..(I can't remember the name 1980's) I was hired to order the beads and keep up the show room stocked. The next thing I know they are asking me to unload an 18 wheeler of beads...I got into a big argument with the old dego owner and quit. They kept calling me to come back. I worked with the laziest Asian on the planet at this place.

Worked at Delmar Systems out of Broussard,LA for like $5 an hour. When they say you rarely get 8 hours of sleep I didn’t believe them. Turns out we rarely got any sleep. Load the boat for 18 to 24 hours then go out and move an oil rig. Don’t sleep till the job is done. Sucked arse especially in August so hot, no breeze water flat as glass hot hot.

Probing for pipelines for T Baker shite first summer after freshman year of college. Worked at least 60 hours a week for minimum wage with shitty people who refused to roll the windows down when they smoked.
Made me realize why I needed my engineering degree so I could be in the office instead of with those assholes. They weren't all bad, but my regular crew were terrible people.

Washed dishes at Shoneys when I was 16. Made $3.35 per hour.
Would close up on the weekends since I was in school. Friday and Saturday from 6 in the afternoon to 4am. Washing dishes and getting things ready for the next day
I would get in about 30 hours per week usually working the long days on the weekend and a few short ones during the week
Bring home pay for that great time? About $65 a week.

I worked in sales at a mediocre private bank to get by in school. Had to make cold calls from 7-12am every day, followed by traveling in Atlanta traffic to get to classes that extended to the late evening. Don’t miss those days at all.

Offshore helicopter mechanic. Hated flying to and from and being offshore.
Loved the mechanic work, did airplanes and helicopters for 25+ years.
Just wasn’t an offshore person.

I was on the end of a suction truck hose in the bottom of a sewerage tank vacuuming out sludge aka liquified shite and there were thousands of plastic tampon applicators floating around. This was in the late 70's. I guess you could call that shitty.

I grew up on a rice and soybean farm. Planting in the dusty arse spring. Leveling rice bins. Walking levees while dodging snakes. Flagging cropdusters and getting spraying with chemicals and pelted by fertilizer. Tossing bails of hay.
Graduated then I went offshore working on a really shitty jackup doing workovers. Chipping out the hard cement in the p-tank in July. Greasing the ballast tanks in July. Too many things to list for that job.

What's the shittiest job you've ever had?
In high school, dish washer at a hotel that has a very busy convention center, serves like close to a thousand people a night.
They first started me on the pot sink washing giant pots, trays and pans and it was all manual using my hands. It would take multiple hours to get through a single load. They never stopped coming and you had to stand for like 8 hours on a very slippery floor and in a very hot room doing it.
Eventually they showed mercy and moved me to the dish tank washing dishes where you just load them up on a conveyor belt.
I lasted about 6 months and I'm honestly shocked I didn't quit sooner than that.

Wall Street interns work less and get paid the same as the analysts/associates of the firm. If you want to keep this troll job up you should try to learn the details
