Not counting fire fighter type jobs, where you have to be there whether you have actual work or not
20 for me while trying to fix a fuel leak on C-130 when deployed

There were times I worked 3-4 days straight during residency, while doing 60 hours shifts in the ER on the weekends. Hope for everyone’s sake I never do that crap again…

32…but it was my fault, so I had to double down to fix.

Over 36 putting finishing touches on bidding to cleanup after the Cat Cracker Explosion at Norco in the late 80's. We got the job and made good profit.

I worked 32 straight hours the day before we had to issue our audit opinion for a SEC filer.
I went in 8am Wednesday and left at 4pm (Thursday) once the client filed their 10-k. My boss was so nice they gave me the next day off (Friday) and let me come in Saturday instead! Oof.
Man, I don't miss public accounting at all.

Like 18 I think - conducting inventory in a store

38
It started on the first day of a trial and one witness changed the entire course of the trial with some new and unexpected testimony. 3 other attorneys, 5 support staff, and I worked all through the night then I tried the case the next day and did 3 hours of work after trial before sleeping in my office for 6 hours.
It was extremely unusual for me, I normally try to get 9 hours of sleep a night during a trial.

22 hours on duty.
Only actually worked for about 2 hours of that.
Another train derailed into the side of mine putting around 20 cars on the ground, including one upside down in the street below. After all that excitement, a whole lot of standing around drinking free coffee, a ride in a fire truck from the locomotives to the "command center", shutting down an IL State Trooper that demanded my drivers license to the great amusement of all the first responders in the command center, going to the hospital for the FRA whiz quiz and blood tests and finally a cab ride 3 hours back to home terminal.
Was a long day but slept most of the cab ride.
