Left NOLA for upstate NY and was rerouted to Charolette. Then Charolette to Rhode Island. Slept on the airport floor only to be told the 7am custom routed flight to get us all to NY was cancelled. Rented a car and drove 7 hours to upstate New York....on only 3hrs of "sleep" on airport floor. Had booked a one night AirBNB near the NY airport and lost that money. Had to spend extra money on rental car. Got there 30 hours late.

I lived/worked in the northeast and drove back and forth a bunch. I would rarely stop and get a hotel, so multiple times I drove 25-26 straight hours.

Around 25 hours.
Abu Dhabi to Athens GA. with layovers in London and Dallas. I would have flown direct to ATL but this was a free ticket. Drive from Abu Dhabi to Dubai airport was at least an hour. Drive from ATL to Athens was 1.5 hours.

About 18 hours from Italy. Part of that is getting to the airport in Florence a few hours early which was not necessary. But if we haven’t I’m sure something would have happened and we would have somehow missed our flight.

Driving: TN - San Diego (twice) - that took 3 days
Flying: Charlotte - Dallas - Tokyo - Bangkok (at least 30 hours)
Flying : Virginia - Charlotte - Houston - LA - Aukland - Christchurch (at least 30 hours). An odd note about this flight: It left LA late on New Years Eve heading west so we celebrated New Years about 10 times crossing date lines.

Back in the early 90's when I was in high school, I drove from Virginia Beach to MS that took around 16hrs. Got a ticket in LaGrange, Ga. All because of a piece of arse. As we say, undefeated.

One day, my drive home from work took 17 minutes. Does that qualify?

Baton rouge to Vail CO took about 24 hours. Left BR about 3am to catch 6am flight to Dallas. Left Dallas on time to Vail, turned around over CO back for Dallas due to snow/weather. Rebooked on next flight, that one ended up cancelling. Found. Dallas-phoenix-denver flight. Got to Phoenix fine, same plane to Denver but had a light not turn off while on way to runway so headed back to the gate. Waited for new plane and landed in Denver in a snowstorm. Caught last shuttle out to Vail from DIA, got in at like 2am. Great powder day skiing the next morning!

While heading back to mobile from Houston we had a blowout.
Christmas Day so nothing was open .tried several patches/plugs but nothing worked.
Had to creep in from past Baton Rouge going about 45 . I vowed to never drive like that on Christmas again.

About 30 hours several times. Sana'a Yemen to DFW or occasionally to MSY, always through Cairo, Frankfurt, Chicago (or Washington Dulles). The second thing I wanted when I got home was a Whataburger.

Probably 48 hours or so
1. Left house to go to DFW for a 6a flight around 5p or so
2. Missed flight due to someone who kept hitting snooze for the alarm to wake up in time for 6a flight
3. Next available flight wouldn't be ready until 5p but was "oncall", first two flights were full but we would be able to get on the 9p flight.
4. Snowstorms and delays caused the crew to hit their deadline on hours and flight was canceled, had to sleep in the airport but would have another chance to wait for on-call for the 6a flight
5. 6a flight on-call was full and we missed that flight but they promised that we would get on the next flight to Chicago.
6. Flight gets delayed 3 more times and it is now Noon. We can see our bags outside and my wife was ready to go home. I go to the ticket counter and ask how we can get our bags because its already 2p. Ticket counter guy says I can get you on the plane behind that is loading now.
7. Get on flight to Chicago and en-route for Chicago my youngest son uses the airplane barf bag but nearby passengers can see that we've been through hell and no fuss.
8. Land in ORD and my in-laws are there to pick us up from the airport but its frigid cold and the roads are terrible from drifting which makes it turn into a 4-hour drive.
9. Finally make it to their house around 6 or 7p that night, completely exhausted.
Side note: In-laws were waiting at a rest stop for us from our original time to land which meant that they spent at least 30 hours waiting for us.

I left NOLA at 6:30 AM on a Monday, got to Paris, France on Tuesday, 8:15 AM
Was only in Paris for a day, I think maybe that’s why I did not enjoy it bc I hadn’t slept

Travis AFB to Misawa AB, Japan Changed planes at Yokota AB, Japan. Didn't think a plane could fly that far without filling up.
