I don't know if heresy is the right word here, it might be, but I think America is more into apathy than heresy. I don't think they are making a conscious choice to be heretical, but they simply don't care enough to make a decision either way.
The Bible says that God would prefer us to be cold or hot rather than luke warm. Well, we are heading more from luke warm to cold as a society at record speed.

How does someone in a foxhole, presumably freaking the frick out, praying as a last ditch effort to survive prove anything at all? If I'm about to die because I'm surrounded by gun fire I'm praying to everyone. Jesus, Allah, Yahweh, Jupiter, Neptune, Thor.. all of em. Someone help me.

Not much of a Christian if you're ashamed of Him.

Anyway, my daughter is a bit taken aback with her treatment in her first year of University, because she's been educated in a proper Catholic school since preschool.

It causes me pain.

And it probably comes from "enlightened" and "tolerant" people who are oblivious to the fact that they're aligning themselves with the KKK.

Well, a poll recently found that 1/4 of Americans are ok with socialism, so your statement isnt that far off.

1) Atheism isnt heresy, just like other religions are not. Heresy is only when you dont do you duty against the filthy xenos.

2) Religion is kind of all thats held Poland as a people together. Going from a big kingdom to carved up and non existent to back again but forever kneeling east or west to a "benefactor". Poles get shite on, its the cosmic joke for the people.

Hell even during the dodgiest moments against the ottomans, France was allied with Turk and raiding Spain and Italy with em.

3) No pictures and constantly talking her up? She aint got no alibi.

4) Anything from a real Catholic upbringing is compatible with any of the sciences. So is she getting her arse handed to her in philosophy? Getting a fresh account of history?

Religion, particularly Catholics, have done the damage to themselves. I think most people (Europe included) truly want to believe, but it’s hard to back an institution that’s done so much damage recently.

The pope has shown to play political games. The ‘relocating’ of priests with serious accusations against them, and the demand to have a say so in the political climate yet the opposition to being taxed are all reasons people have grown to distrust religion.

There's your problem. She has been living in fantasyland and now she has to face reality.

Certainly a factor, but the biggest factor is that one cannot serve two masters. Popular culture is selfish, materialistic, and lustful and those all go against religion.

Belief in the creator that makes ppl want to be the best version of themselves has no value in society?

If you have to believe in an all-powerful being/ be afraid of eternal damnation to make yourself want to be the best version of yourself and be a decent human being then there's something wrong with you

Big mistake.

Nothing will cure you of Christianity more quickly than time around evangelical Christians

One thing I have noticed is that atheists seem to be the ones most determined to push their non-belief on others.

I am a Christian, but I don't push my faith on non-believers.

LOL. Look at how many elections are swayed due to "faith based values"

That’s simply a perception bias issue on your part. The only atheists you know about are the ones who are “pushy” about it. You interact with atheists every single day without realizing it, because they never bring it up.

On the other hand, I see crucifixes around necks all day every day and a-hole evangelicals on street corners not infrequently.

And I keep walking, because I don’t give a shite what you believe. If it makes you happy, more power to you.

Religion itself isn't the problem. Its the people in charge. You don't really need the whole Vatican hierarchy. Religion can be strictly a personal thing.
