True. My opinion is that of a non-parent and based solely on my observations. I do agree
There seems to be more support for better schools in this area.

I have always said WBR has a lot of potential. You can live on Rosedale Rd on 2 or 3 acres and be 15 min from downtown BR. The biggest issues I see is the schools holding the area back atleast for young families. There just aren’t very many good options close by.

The Brusly side is growing pretty fast. The only down side there is crossing the intercostal bridge.

Cool. Dear Reddit, today I learned the little old west baton rouge parish is the only area in the state of Louisiana with "the good ole boy" network

Good news is that none of us would ever sell to you

Exactly my point. I say this everytime I drive thru on 190. I don’t think the part along I-10 has as much potential. It’s too close to that gridlock and it’s just nasty. I feel like it’s just dirty and gross. That KFC Taco Bell is nasty haha

In your defense, you didn’t say it was the only good ole boy. You just said it’s “too much” good ole boy. That’s your opinion. Nothing wrong with disagreeing with one another.

Give us some examples. I’m pretty sure that good ole boy bull shite isn’t unique to WBR or any one place in particular.

Are you familiar with the I-10 bridge, oh say around 3:00 especially, or pretty much any time day or night? Besides the fact that once you’re there, there is simply nothing to do. Why? What’s the draw? Is the internet speed better on that side of the river?

Are you one of those people who only takes the interstates everywhere??
If you would read the original post, I said around highway 190. Therefore, use the old bridge or the Audubon bridge.

The fact remains that WBR was still under a federal disaster declaration and designated for Public Assistance and Individual Assistance, same as every other Parish in the area.

The fact also remains that it wasn't due to massive flooding in the parish and I was still right that it was not a part of the initial rounds of declaration.

As far as the "good ole boy" stuff, give me proof that it's more common here (I live here) than it would be elsewhere. It was an ignorant statement

OK, man

You originally said they were not included, but now you want to say they weren’t included at first. What an odd thing to be concerned about.

Y’all highjacked this thread. The whole topic was development in WBR. Particularly upper portions of the parish along 190. Why can’t Erwinville explode similar to towns in ascension or Livingston?
