Correct. Only know of about 10-12 houses that flooded in 16 and they were all on a low section of Section Road. New Roads, Oscar, etc all had issues. We were good.

A lot of land on 190 in WBR, esp when you get pass the HWY 415 merge has been passed down for more than 4 generations.

They ain’t gonna let that land go for cheap. I can promise you that.

The south side of the parish (across the intercostal) is starting to grow fast. And the North side Port Allen folks are jelly.

As for the far north side, it’s still and always will be country, and the natives want to keep it like that.

If I work in downtown or mid city, I’d consider living in WBR and taking the old bridge daily to 110 south. That country life isn’t what everyone wants I suppose. Give me a dollar general and a gas station and I’m good.

True, but there are more and more Beau Box Real Estate signs popping up on 190 towards Erwinville. And they’re developing a fair amount of land on Rosedale Road. Nice hoods too. Not trailer parks.

If they can get zoning straitened out, they’ll be in a good position to develop it more.

Rosedale is turning out really nice. I have a few folks that live back there.

So what ever happened to that big Film Studio they was supposed to build?

I’d assume the cancelling of the film tax credits shut it down.

But there is a big nice looking facility that could be a studio right off of 190 between 415 and CAJUN Circus. It’s in the same area I referenced with the available land.

Biggest issue out here is most residences or residential property is sold via word of mouth.

I know the folks who own that facility you talking about. It’s just offices.

Gotcha. Never see a sign or anything. I thought it might be a fancy new fire station or something. Or a studio.

This is a no brainer. It’s all fun and games till you have to cross that bridge twice a day.
