I am hoping this is not just me but everywhere I go the last two see cats, they are all over the damn place. Not sure if stays or what but everywhere. Wtf?

Irresponsible pet owners let their cats roam free or dump them. They also fail to neuter/spay.

My ex is a vet. She was part of a lsu vet school program that trapped feral cats, spayed/neutered them, and then let them go. She got really pissed when I said shooting them would have quicker results

On a different note I heard an interview with a local head of a shelter, and he was asked what is the best thing to remedy the stray dogs (in this case) issue. He straight up said "stop giving them as gifts.". Ha. The interviewer was thrown off. They guy said people give them as gifts to bf/gfs/etc, but dont think about the costs of maintaining. Spot on way of thinking to nip something in the bud. We need more thinking like that.
