what's the deal about Jade Helm?

So I see more and more about it, Walmarts being closed and protected by cops..

apparently it's a real Military exercise, but the problems are found in this map.
Conservative states are labeled enemy and democrat states are friendly.

But there is a conspiracy twist.
Apparently some think we are storing military equipment in abandoned Walmarts, and five Walmart that closed overnight in the Jade Helm region are also being called "Fema Camps" by some and "Chinese military staging areas" by others.
I'm sure the wackos on PT have discussed this, so I turn to the more intelligent posters of the OT to find out more.
Personally I don't know, it seems like a very grandiose military exercise at best.

I don't know if you were ever in the military but if you think for one second that we would start rounding up people and sticking them in concentration camps or something to that effect, you're wrong. My brothers in arms would never do that. They are too patriotic

Sounds like some false flag terror coming. Flip the drills live, blame it on the towel heads, and say we were lucky to have people in place at the time to quickly respond.

No sir. I do not at all think that the US military would ever turn on the populace, even if ordered to do so. I do not at all believe in this conspiracy, I just want to know more about it.

The thing is...
The Army confirms the map is real, and likens it to the Navy's invasion of the east coast last year.
Just a training exercise, and I believe it is training, I want to know more about why people think it's something more.
