Not nola...but in Dallas...the sjw city council voted a few weeks back to remove one that is near city hall. But needs to be final approved by the historic socity.

Soooo funny odd parts to these: Council removed a Lee statue last year. The following week the black pro-tem mayor that pushed for it was arrested by the feds for shady school bus camera contracts. I think he got up in the 400k range.

This last vote one of the black councilman had a hit, a hit and run incident with a scooter rider on his way in to vote. Now he is tied up in a major invistigation that could end up with him in jail. But hey...at least he got his vote in for the statue removal.

And to top it DPD is lacking 1k officers, but has millions to remove old statues.

Fun times...

Which is kind of the point. No one in the city talked about the statues before Mitch, either.

Take down every fricking statue if you get the pothole on Tchoup and Toledano fixed forever.

The potholes aren’t going to be fixed either way. This isn’t a quid pro quo.

They’re still contributing to black on black crime from their hidden warehouse that they’re stored inside.

They have disappeared and taken all of the crime with them.

At least they won’t have to evacuate ahead of the next flood, which (sadly) based on recent reports regarding S&WB, may not be too long from now.

I don’t live in NOLA anymore and don’t give a frick about the statues, but that POS Mitch should have had a replacement ready if he was planning all along to take down the Lee statue.

It looks stupid and half assed, much like many of the stupid decisions made by the ignorant, corrupt morons who run city government there.
