Meh. He's the reason why LSU are the "Tigers" as he named (ETA: or at least made prominent a nickname some of the individual rifle company and battalions were being called, notably, Wheat's troops) Hay's brigade "The Louisiana Tigers

And what does that have to do with NOLA?

Disingenuous. You don't ahve to advocate it because what's done is done.

Personally, I hope that there's a riot when removal time comes. We need to frick the bad blood right up the arse. The Washington, Jefferson, etc. monuments are the next step for these people. This mania will never end until people stand up to it.

Every morning an Afro-american wakes up in the United States of America and not in some disease ridden earthly hellscape on the dark continent getting stalked by a hyena, they should say "thank you so much white people for this blessing."

Is there any real or worthwhile connection? Edumacate please.

Jimmies are probably rustled just because it's been there since the 1880s. People are mad that it was there so long, but only now it has to go. Twitter/social media has made these societal issues move way faster than some establishment people are comfortable with. It feels like chaos to the old guard. Many liberals don't give a frick and get off on the social uncomfortableness of these situations.

The business he started is eaten at by tens of thousands in the N.O. area daily. Many people nationwide consider it to be Cajun food. (They have never eaten Cajun food, or been to LA)

Everyone there knows who he is and many have worked for him. Ask them who Al Copeland is and they will all have an answer. Then ask them who Ted Kaczynski is.

So, while not an icon, he has had a lot of impact on the city.

How do we get a foundation started to begin fundraising for a New Orleans statue of Deez Nutz?

We need a statue of a black man who has fathered many kids from many different mothers. I think that best represents the cultural diversity of New Orleans.

And the plaque should read :

"I know where you got dem shoes ! "

If the powers that be erected a statue of a fried chicken magnate I would consider it a racial slur.
