Nicer and all are air conditioned. I'm sure the teaching techniques and student performance are all superior to what I had given the money we spend on that shite.

My school has two lesbian teachers that were dating, now married.

Yep, and many of us had guns in our vehicles and yet nobody found a need to shoot up people in the school, nor was there ever a fear of something like that taking place.
I don’t know what you’re fricking downvoting. That’s a fact. I was there.

You used to go to learn and be challenged.

Lunch....
At Rummel we had a sandwich line, a hot meal line and we had milk, juice or water. Now they have Subway, Caines and Dominos along with a hot lunch and anything to drink, from fountain drinks to milk...
Oh yeah, they use I pads now, forgot...
We did have video games and a juke box in the cafeteria..
My sophomore year I heard Hot Blooded and Double Vision everyday during lunch.. Someone loved Foreigner...

I went to public schools from 1967 - 1979 and never remember praying in school, but do remember singing religious songs at Christmastime. I did get the paddle, though.
The biggest difference between then-and-now is that most kids, black kids included, came from stable, two parent homes with discipline. This was before LBJ's Great Society had time to take full effect.
